Will Taylor
Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Will Taylor, a native of Milwaukee, has a deep connection to the impact of mass incarceration, with over 60 immediate peers and family members affected by the justice system. Driven by personal experience, Will is dedicated to developing transformative solutions that will equip justice-impacted communities with the necessary tools to mitigate the risk of recidivism.
During his undergraduate studies at UCLA, Will was an active member of the Prison Education Program. He conducted a multidisciplinary research project on the auto theft phenomenon in Milwaukee, utilizing an anti-deficit methodology to uncover counternarratives within local hip-hop culture and propose restorative justice solutions. His senior thesis, guided by esteemed sociologist Dr. Pedro Noguera, critically examined the school-to-prison pipeline and the punitive discipline culture of the Milwaukee Parental Choice System. Additionally, Will served as a Creative Writing Facilitator at Barry J. Juvenile Hall in Sylmar, California.
As a former talent manager, Will founded a full-service music company to showcase Milwaukee’s hip-hop culture globally. Despite challenges, including justice-system interruptions for several clients, Will successfully helped them maximize their musical earnings, aiding their transition out of the informal economy and reducing recidivism risk. Under his leadership at Creambridge, he secured over $3 million in capital through major label recording contracts and partnered with Exceed Talent Capital to list three music albums as Reg A mini IPOs, democratizing music royalty investments
Currently, Will Taylor works as an Advanced Youth Specialist at a residential facility in Milwaukee, focusing on providing integrated treatment for juvenile youth.
